  11. In the current released version of kpathsea, a leading %% in a path spec
  12. means ``never search the disk, only search the database''. (I do not
  13. recommend using this feature!)

  15. In the next version, I need to change % to something else, because % is
  16. a natural comment character for the runtime configuration files the next
  17. release will support. I'm provisionally using !!, but if anyone has any
  18. good thoughts on a more natural syntax or another character, I'd like to
  19. hear it.
