Subject: %% no-disk-search
In the current released version of kpathsea, a leading %% in a path spec
means ``never search the disk, only search the database''. (I do not
recommend using this feature!)
In the next version, I need to change % to something else, because % is
a natural comment character for the runtime configuration files the next
release will support. I'm provisionally using !!, but if anyone has any
good thoughts on a more natural syntax or another character, I'd like to
hear it.
(I don't know when the next release will be ready. No sooner than a few
weeks, anyway.)
